The American Council on Criminal Justice Training is a non-profit public safety education and training institution. Our mission is to offer education and training that enhances the public’s safety. This is accomplished by providing low cost training to criminal justice officers and free pubic safety education and training presentations to members of the general public.
The Council consists of seven advisory board members: a corporate representative, a law enforcement representative, a corrections representative, an assistant attorney general, a campus police/public safety representative, a reserve officer representative, and a private security representative. As a private non-profit corporation, the organizational structure consists of an Executive Board, four elected officials, four administrative staff, and approximately four hundred criminal justice and private security instructors.
We are dedicated to providing safe, effective, and meaningful training to criminal justice officers and public safety education to communities. In addition to training, we offer national instructor certifications and department training accreditation programs. We are extremely proud that the ACCJT can offer the finest training available at a cost that is affordable for all officers and free to community members.
ACCJT instructional staff is composed of highly effective and experienced law enforcement and public safety instructors. All our instructors are active duty police, corrections, parole and probation officers, and private security officers.
Our Executive Director is Howard Webb. Mr. Webb designed the Hitman Training Gear and developed a number of Hitman training programs. He has an extensive law enforcement and training background. As the Director of the Montana Law Enforcement Academy, he developed the first scenario based academy training curriculum in the United States. As a lieutenant for the Oregon Board on Public Safety Standards and Training , he developed the first national Police Corps law enforcement academy training program. Mr. Webb is an internationally recognized use of force expert and trainer. He provided use of force training to the 2000 officer international law enforcement security force at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia.
We believe you will find our training to be one of, if not, the best training courses you have ever attended. In fact we believe so strongly in this, that ACCJT offers a money back guarantee on all our instructor development training courses. If you are not completely satisfied with the quality of our training, we will refund your tuition in full. We are the only training organization to make this offer.
